McIlvaine Trucking Inc was established in 1959 by Joe McIlvaine. After purchasing his first truck, Joe operated as an independent contractor. In 1977, the company had grown to a dozen trucks. During the time period between 1977 and 1982 the company was incorporated and the Wooster, Ohio maintenance and central operating facilities were constructed.
Our tank division, McIlvaine Trucking International, Inc. operates 218 propane, asphalt and chemical units and is one of the largest transporters of propane in Ohio and the second largest transporter of asphalt. The company has grown and diversified into anhydrous ammonia, a corn fertilizer, and chemicals used in the process of water treatment.
Our van division, McIlvaine Trucking, Inc. was created in 1998 to further diversify the company. In the van division, we stay within the boundaries of our core lane discipline, serving the Ohio/ East Coast /New England food processing industry, and take advantage of seasonal movements like bottled water, soft drinks and beer.
Headquartered in rural Wooster, Ohio, McIlvaine, Inc. also operates full service maintenance terminals in Wooster, Ohio as well as New Stanton, Pennsylvania, under the name of Fleet Maintenance Services, LLC. This subsidiary provides a complete range of repairs from preventative maintenance to engine rebuilds, annual inspections and federally certified tank transport repairs.
A highly diverse company, McIlvaine, Inc. has some of the best experts in the industry in each of its tank, van, and maintenance divisions. Both the tank and van divisions have over 100 years of experience in upper management.
